Kartell Mademoiselle Chair

mademoiselle chair
Design Philippe Starck, 2003
Polycarbonate & upholstery
Made in Italy by Kartell

Philippe Starck and kartell team up for an innovative project for an armchair with a clever and first-ever combination of two aesthetic qualities: solidity and space, materiality and transparency. The polycarbonate structure offers a solid and elegant support for a soft seat in fabric-covered expanded polyurethane. Mademoiselle represents the perfect match, with a unique solution, of transparency and softness, aesthetics and color, delicacy of appearance and practical strength.

As one of the best-known contemporary designers in the world, Philippe Starck has placed honesty and integrity at the core of his designs producing quality products with longevity & durability.

Kartell’s most “la modearmchair now has a wider range of upholstery to choose from with a collection of fabrics from Missoni Home by Rosia Missoni, that give the object different personalities. There are also three new fabrics selected by its own designer, Philippe Starck. The designer has chosen three black and white prints with that timeless look - one houndstooth and two polkadot (black background with white polkadots/white background with black polkadots).

The frame is offered in either transparent or black and the seat is available in a vast range of colors and fabrics.
