Tulip Chair

Eero Saarinen tulip chair Designed by Eero Saarinen as an exercise in clarifying form.designed in 1955 and 1956 for the Knoll company of New York City. It was designed primarily as a chair to match the complementary (Tulip) dining table. The tulip chair has the smooth lines of modernism and was experimental with materials for its time.

The tulip chair is considered a classic of industrial design. The tulip chair is often considered "space age" for its futuristic use of curves and artificial materials. The design was popularized by its use on the original Star Trek television series (1966-69).Eero Saarinen’s tulip chair sets new sandards for modern design. The chair is simple assembly required.

MATERIAL: Fiberglass chair seat and base, fabric or leather cushion.

COLOR AVAILABLE: White, Black and Red for fiberglass; White, Black, Red, Green Orange and Blue for cushion fabric and leather.
