Plano Dining Table

plano dining table
Design Pelikan design, 2000
Steel legs, synthetic material or glass tops
Made in Denmark by Fritz Hansen

The Plano series of tables feature an ultra-thin, almost "floating" tabletop. The base is made of square-profiled steel with molded zinc edges. The legs are cylindrical steel tubes which are height adjustable and mount & dismantle without tools. An elegant series offered in a variety of shapes, sizes and finish options.

Pelikan Design is partnered by Niels Gammelgaard and Lars Mathiesen. Both are architects specializing in industrial design. They favor functional and unpretentious idioms that are minimalist, yet expressive. An impressive design duo, Pelikan design works very broadly in many different areas without losing sight of the issue.

The Plano series is available with a slim table top in glass with a white-lacquered underside or white synthetic laminate. The table comes with a square-profiled frame and cylindrical legs, both available in satin or mirror chromed steel.
